Equine-Assisted Activities & Therapies

Courtney Cares Logo

The Courtney Grimshaw Equine Therapeutic Program, or “Courtney Cares,” at the Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (VMBS) is a Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) International Premier Accredited Center.

Courtney Cares is available to children and adults, with physical and/or cognitive conditions, and veterans, in the Brazos Valley. We offer three distinct programs: equine-assisted activities, equine-assisted therapy, and “Equine Services for Heroes.”

Our program provides experiential learning about the therapeutic horsemanship industry for Aggie student volunteers, while they serve the community and demonstrate the Texas A&M core values of respect, excellence, leadership, loyalty, integrity, and selfless service.
